FOR THIS WEEKENDS TOURNAMENT SCHEDULING - SEE BELOW All you aspiring juniors can play in the World Junior Tennis Series 2009, a combination of four mini grand slams over 4 fantastic venues: East Coburg TC, Coburg TC, Merlynston TC and Glenroy TC. That's a total of 24 courts. You can play in one or all 4 tournaments with points allocated allowing the top 8 in each category to play in the end of season junior masters. Play in the Melbourne Open, the Paris Open, the London Open and the New York Open - all here in metropolitan melbourne. All events are in a round robin format and the race for points to play in the end of year event begin with the first event - the Melbourne Open. World Junior Tennis Series 2009 Age Groups - 10s, 12s, 14s, A Premium Singles Format – Round Robin No.1 Melbourne Junior Open 3 April to 5 April (Fri to Sun) East Coburg TC No.2 Paris Junior Open 5 June to 7 June (Fri to Sun) Coburg TC No.3 London Junior Open 3 July to 5 July (Fri to Sun) East Coburg TC No.4 New York Junior Open 18 September to 20 September (Fri to Sun) Merlynston TC No.5 World Junior Singles Masters 11 December to 13 December (Fri to Sun) Coburg TC & East Coburg TC POINTS WILL BE ALLOCATED FOR ALL TOURNAMENTS FOR QUALIFICATION IN THE END OF YEAR MASTERS World Tennis Series Points System Winner (1st) 100 points Runner Up (2nd) 60 points Semi Final (3rd) 30 points Quarter Final (4th) 20 points Round of 16 (5th) 10 points Round of 32 (6th) 5 points Tournament Conditions of Entry 1. All singles events will be in a round robin format. 2. All competitors must be ready when called upon. 3. The committee reserves the right to refuse any entry. 4. Phone entries will not be accepted. 5. All players will be advised of their first match times by email or phone. 6. Depending on numbers, surrounding venues may be used if required. 7. Competitors must be under 16 as of Tournament date. 8. Players are to umpire their own matches. 9. Points will be awarded and carried over for the entire World Junior Tennis Series Tournaments. 10. All entries must be sent with the correct entry fees. No player will be allowed to play until correct fees are paid. 11. Trophies awarded to all winners and runners ups in each event. 12. No entry will be accepted without the competitor and one parent or guardians signature. 13. Players may enter more than one event. 14. The Tournament Referees word is final on all disputes. No correspondence will be entered into. 15. All players are to list previous tournament performances. 16. Correct tennis attire must be worn at all times. 17. Coaching players on the court is a breach of the rules of this event. 18. All players are to report to the tournament desk 10 minutes prior to their scheduled match time regardless of the weather. Failure to play when called upon may result in a forfeit of their match. 19. The tournament will conduct a canteen. 20. Restringing available throughout the tournament. 21. Events may be combined depending on the numbers in each event. 22. The East Coburg Tennis Club, The Coburg Tennis Club, The Elite Tennis Academy and Matchplay Tennis accept no responsibility for injury or the loss of property during the tournament. 23. The Tournament Draw will be available at www.elitetennis.com.au under ‘Events’ from 9 pm on Wednesday for each event. Scores will be updated daily during the tournament. |
