NEW SOCIAL TENNIS LEAGUE 2009
The funny and popular 'Social Tennis League' singles and doubles tournament is becoming a tradition at East Coburg Tennis Club. All players are welcome, however the standard of play is 'social' rather than competitive. Tournament registration form is available online. We encourage all interested players to sign up and play for a chance to win. ATPCA tennis professionals organize the program, including the match schedule, scoring, fees and playoffs, which make it very flexible for players. The adult league isn't a replacement of other leagues and activities; it creates additional playing opportunities that do not conflict with existing ones. This competition will run over 8 weeks: June 16/18, 23/25, 30/July 2, 7/9, 14/16 Finals to be held on Aug 4/6 for Tues and Thurs respectively Starting Times: 7.00 pm and 8.30 pm Tuesday/Thursday depending on entries Cost: $70.00 for regular students and $90 for new players Format: One set of Singles each. First to 6. No Tie Break. Elite Point applies (see below) One Set of Doubles each. First to 6. No Tie Break. Elite Point applies (see below) What is the Elite Point? If the game score reaches Deuce, a sudden death point is played called the ‘Elite Point’ to win that game. The receiver can choose which side of the court they would like to receive the Elite Point.
