Elite Tennis Academy Melbourne and its Managing Directors have come to the conclusion that a cross section of our juniors and developing players that were involved in the coaching program had reached the stage where they needed not so much stroke production and technique coaching but on court experience and consistent hitting. To combat this problem we created the Elite Tennis Squad. This squad has been running for three terms and has had an immediate impact on the junior tennis circuit. The success rate has exceeded our expectations but not the expectations of our squad members. Every single member of the Squad played in a Grand Final side within 12 months of this extra tuition and direction. We are big on taking that extra step forward. However, it is a two-way street, and pupils willing to take that extra step are invited along to an invitation only squad. The Squad is not only for the advanced tennis player, but also the individual who gives 100 %. Many of our juniors reach a level of comfort that needs to be tested in different forums. For the tennis player wishing to raise their game a further level, the Elite Tennis Advanced Squad is the squad for you. Sessions will be run for 1 - 2 hours every week. Fitness Classes, nutrition, muscle memory, goal setting, personal development, are among the topics to be covered. Strict criteria applies for inclusion and is subject to invitation. All members of the Squad receive an Elite Tennis Academy Squad Shirt upon enrolment. Due to increasing numbers, the Squad is invitational only and acceptance is determined through an interview and the willingness to perform at 100%. WHEN: The Squad runs on a Term basis and is conducted on FRIDAY EVENINGS with a DEVELOPMENT SQUAD from 5.00PM to 6.30pm and and ADVANCED SQUAD from 6.30 PM to 8.00PM. Bookings Esential. WHERE: The Elite Tennis Melbourne Squad is held at the East Coburg Tennis Club - Corner Bell Street-Drummond Street (Melway 17 K12). DEVELOPMENT SQUAD Ideal for low to mid level players seeking additional on court time and match play with players of similar standards. It is designed for players looking to move into the competitive side of the game. Tactics and fitness are paramount in this program. · Lesson Duration – 1.5 hours 8:1 ratio - Friday Nights 5.00pm to 6.30pm DEVELOPMENT SQUAD FEE: 8 week term $120 ($130 if paid after week 2) PERFORMANCE SQUAD For the mid to high level competition and tournament players. An highly intensive training program with a smaller ratio, providing a more personalized coaching experience. These squads will place a strong emphasis on the technical, tactical, mental and physical aspects to enhance competitive performance. Cross training methods are also introduced and time is spent charting players tournament schedule. Sessions also include match charting. · Lesson Duration – 1.5 hours 4:1 ratio - Friday Nights 6.30pm to 8.00pm PERFORMANCE SQUAD FEE: 8 week term $150 ($160 if paid after week 2) APPLY NOW!
